Experience
Fran Stokes gained a BA(Hons) degree in English Language and Literature from Manchester University in 1977 and then worked as a Script Assistant at Granada TV from 1978 to 1985. Leaving Granada in 1985 to train for a completely different career within the NHS, Fran maintained her hands-on experience of English language usage by working part-time as a script reader for the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester the BBC and others.
