Professional Study Tours

For many years Connect Europ Europ has been organising professional study visits and tours both for groups from the UK and increasingly for groups from other countries (e.g. Russia) visiting the UK .

For outgoing groups, these have mainly consisted of nationally recruited groups of education professionals who have visited European institutions such as the European Union (EU), Council of Europ (CofE) or NATO, or on three occasions all three together combined with a training course on European institutions and programmes. Other examples include leading a number of ’link-making’ delegations to set up new exchange programmes e.g. a group of seven workers visiting  the Calabria region of Italy.

In recent years our main involvement with study tours has been the organisation of personalised programmes for professional groups from countries outside of the UK. Many of these have involved visiting the UK to meet specific organisations, develop new contacts and links or find out about specific UK practices and procedures. Examples here include the organisation of a programme of link-making visits and placements for professionals from; Calabria in Southern Italy, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Brazil, Mexico, Bolivia, Columbia, Costa Rica, Honduras and Denmark.
 
Of particular interest may be the programme of professional visits we have organised for groups from many areas of Russia involving in one case over twenty groups and 300 people in one year alone.  Examples of the range of areas of interest include; car import and sales, printing services, electricity supply, notaries, medical doctors, museum management and taxation.

Connect Europ would welcome enquiries from groups in other countries, who would like specialist professional visits and tours in the UK.  As for previous groups, we are able to offer an inclusive service including transport, hotel booking, food, professional programme and an accompanying social/tourist programme.

Conferences

The organisation of conferences, particularly overseas, may also be something Connect Europ can help with.  As with training courses, we have organised, and in some cases run a number of large conferences. Examples here include Berlin, Amsterdam, five venues in the UK and Scotland, and Lithuania.  Of particular note was a sixty-person four day conference for international insurance companies on behalf of an official Russian organisation.  Please let us know if we can help with similar conferences in the UK or elsewhere.
